THE KING'S ISLAND is the Programme Management game that trains Programme managers and project teams in the successful application of MSP in a programme environment.

THE KING'S ISLAND is a board game with products, risks, issues, and of course ... a dice. Under time pressure participants are challenged to build a series of cities, and to manage those projects using a programme management skills as effectively as they can.

From theory to practice
 

During New Years Eve in 1999 an undersea volcano in the Great Ocean erupted followed by tsunami which flooded many islands and changed the ocean bed in several places.

After the flood receded and the eruption stopped a new island was raised from the sea on the 3rd of January 2000 with a uniquely strategic geographic position.

The first to land on this new land was Captain Jonas King, who named it THE KING’S ISLAND 

The Mission
The United Nations has given you and your team members the task to develop this new land with the use of OGC’s Managing Successful Programmes - MSP™ - and PRINCE2™.
 
 

How it works

The game teaches how to manage projects through a programme office in an effective way, in both the planning and implementation phases, by using MSP processes, components and techniques.

It is based on the concept of ‘learning by doing’ which is a highly effective way of acquiring new skills and ensuring that the classroom experience is transferred to the workplace.

Business Games

Your team is tasked with developing Princeopolis using PRINCE2™. A terrific team building 1 day game                                                                                     Your Risk Management team is tasked with constructing a gambling casino and hotel. They will manage the risks and issues using the OGC’s M_o_R ® methodology.
